Since the sun is shining more and more these days, I felt a bit pale. I went looking at my local Sephora for a new blush. Normally I wear Nars Orgasm, but I felt I needed something with a bit more sparkle. I came across Super Orgasm. There is an awesome amount of sparkle in this and I really enjoy the base color. I tried it on and it was a perfect fit. Nars Orgasm is a color that looks great on almost all complexions, so Super Orgasm adds just the right amount of sparkle on your beautiful cheeks!

Everyone has a body part that they love to highlight. It always makes you feel better when you know you look good! Personally, I am a fan of super-lush eyelashes. Being that my eyelashes are super blonde without mascara, I never, ever leave home without it and a primer*. I have tried almost every mascara out there that promises longer, thicker, fuller, curlier lashes. I have three favorites. Maybelline Great Lash with the Curved Brush, Anastasia, and Benefit’s Bad Gal Lash.
They are the go to favorite from the drugstore. (My Drugstore of choice lately is Walgreens and they have it on sale this week for $2.99 online.) Maybelline is the standard when I need something fast and reliable, I always go back to Great Lash.
Two others from Sephora or Sephora.com, are Anastasia, $22 and Benefit’s Bad Gal Lash, $19. These mascaras make me look like I have false eyelashes on. I love the lush feeling that they give my eyes and sometimes, if I am lucky, they even make it look like I have eyeliner on with them. The brushes are great and they rarely clump.
*Before I even put my mascara on, I coat my lashes with a primer. Generally it is white, but I have also tried clear mascara as a “base
coat.” I love Smashbox’s Mascara Primer $16 (also available at Sephora). It doesn’t leave the lashes too thick or clumpy.

The La Grande Dame blog is thrilled to introduce Tiffany Vesterman – our new beauty columnist. Tiffany is the perfect fit for our blog, she is a plus sized fashionista, beauty product guru and frequent La Grande Dame customer! Here is a little bit more information about Tiffany. Please welcome her in the comments
Tiffany “Fancy Fanny” Vesterman was born to a fashion forward family. On her mother’s side, there were many in the fashion industry buying fabrics, making hats, jewelry, patterns and clothing. Her grandmother and aunts had talents for making beautiful things. Her grandmother, Tommasina Rosalia “Mazie”, ran the Rosalie Dress factory in Manhattan during the early part of the 20th century. Her father owned the business and Grandma Mazie skillfully ran it by the age of 16. Mazie had an exceptional skill for fashion. Her eye for color as well as accessorizing is what was passed down to me. I have grown into an amazing inheritance of ideas from my grandmother. I am obsessed with three things, writing, beauty, and plus sized fashion and what better way to put them together?
