We hope you have all had a wonderful holiday season!  Tommy and I had a quiet day at home watching movie and pigging out with the dogs.  We are doggy sitting while the “Grande Dame” is off enjoying the Hawaiian beaches – I am only a little bit jealous!

Cozy, Cute Coats. A Plus Sized Woman’s Guide to Winter

Shopping for winter coats is a huge pain.   Especially for the plus sized fashion fan.

I moved back to Minneapolis from Los Angeles a few years ago.  In December.  Baaaad move.  I was desperate for a winter coat and I just could not find the right one.   I wanted a puffy, warm coat that was figure flattering and covered my butt.  Sounds easy right?  But, as a big boobed, long bodied woman, everything was too short.  I didn’t want a cropped jacket.  I wanted a WINTER COAT.  We kept that experience in mind as we looked for the perfect winter coats to offer the La Grande Dame shopper.   We found a couple of beauties from Alain Weiz.
